Challenge

The Lactaid Brand was looking for an online buzz to accompany the introduction of Lactaid EggNog to select markets in 2006. The I-SITE team responded by creating a fun, interactive campaign that drew from the magic of the holiday season — driving brand awareness and significant coupon redemption for Lactaid EggNog through the Web site.

Solution

Based on the premise that Santa's actually lactose intolerant, I-SITE created a 60-second, interactive animation revealing Santa's secret (and Rudolph's, too). The animation was featured on the Lactaid.com home page, and the online media was extended by an offsite campaign including email, viral and nationwide PR.

Results

The results more than exceeded projections, with site traffic, email CTR and coupon redemption rates rising well above national averages throughout the campaign. The campaign received accolades for its concept, creativity and execution, and received Gold at the WWW Health Awards.
